What you are buying.
A one-off purchase of a downloadable workbook, licensed to you personally, with a 30-day money-back window. The rest of this page is the detail.
1. The seller
The Accent Fix is sold by CB Speech Therapy, PLLC (“we”, “us”). Placing an order means you accept these terms. Reach us at our support address.
2. What is included
You are buying a digital product: a single downloadable folder containing the complete eleven-chapter workbook as an interactive HTML file, all 212 audio recordings, an audio manifest, and a short note on how to open it. There is no physical item, no shipment, and no scheduled instruction.
- It runs in a standard web browser on macOS, Windows, iPad, or Android. No installation and no internet connection are required once downloaded.
- It is not a subscription. There is nothing to renew and nothing that expires.
- Revisions we publish to the same edition are yours at no extra cost.
3. Your licence
We grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the workbook for your own personal study. You may keep copies on as many of your own devices as you like, and print pages for your own use.
You may not republish, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the workbook or its recordings, whether free or paid; upload it to a file-sharing service, course platform, or public repository; or use the recordings as material in a product of your own.
Teaching with it. If you want to use the workbook with your own students, clients, or staff, that is a use we are glad to license — but it needs a separate arrangement, because a single personal licence does not cover it. Write to us and we will sort something out.
We keep all copyright and other intellectual property rights in the workbook, its text, its notation, and its recordings.
4. This is an educational product, not speech therapy
This matters enough to be its own section. The workbook is self-study educational material about the pronunciation patterns of American English. Buying it, reading it, or working through its drills:
- does not constitute speech-language pathology services, therapy, assessment, diagnosis, or treatment of any kind;
- does not create a clinician–client, therapist–patient, or other professional relationship between you and us or any licensed clinician associated with us;
- is not individualised to you, cannot respond to you, and is no substitute for evaluation by a qualified professional.
Accent modification for a fluent speaker is elective learning, not the treatment of a disorder. If you have or suspect a speech, language, hearing, voice, or fluency disorder — or if a listener’s difficulty understanding you began suddenly or is getting worse — please see a licensed speech-language pathologist or physician in your area. Do not use this workbook in place of that.
5. Results
Pronunciation improves with deliberate practice, out loud, over time. We describe what the workbook contains and how it is ordered, and we stand behind that description. We do not promise any particular outcome, timeline, test score, or reaction from listeners, because that depends on work only you can do. If the approach turns out not to suit you, that is what section 7 is for.
6. Payment and delivery
Payment is taken by our third-party checkout provider, not by us; we never receive your card details. Prices are shown in USD and exclude any sales tax or VAT that your local rules require, which the checkout adds where it applies.
Delivery is immediate and automatic: on successful payment you receive a download link by email. If it has not arrived within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then email us and we will send the files directly.
7. Refunds
There is a 30-day money-back window on every purchase, and you do not have to justify the request. The full detail, including how EU and UK withdrawal rights interact with a digital download, is on the refund policy page.
8. Acceptable use of this site
The free Part 1 preview is published for you to read and listen to. Please do not scrape it, bulk-download the recordings, or attempt to reach files that are not linked from the site.
9. Liability
We provide the workbook as described, with reasonable care. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim connected to the workbook is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including your statutory consumer rights, which these terms sit alongside rather than replace.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future purchases. The version in force for your order is the one published on the day you bought, and the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which the Seller is organised, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the place you live.
